Can someone who had faith in the past end up perishing?

Can someone who had faith in the past end up perishing?

Someone who had faith (or "believed") in the past can end up perishing:

Someone who had FAITH (or "BELIEVED") in the past can end up PERISHING.

Judas the Iscariot: Matthew 10 & John 17:

Jesus would have implied that His SHEEP do BELIEVE, as He said: "you do not BELIEVE, because you-are not of My SHEEP" (John 10:26).

Judas the Iscariot would have been a SHEEP. Indeed, Jesus, "having-summoned HIS TWELVE DISCIPLES" (Matthew 10:1) of whom was "JUDAS THE ISCARIOT, the (one) also having-handed Him over" (Matthew 10:4), then sent them, as it is written: "JESUS SENT-OUT THESE TWELVE, having-instructed them, saying" (Matthew 10:5): "I AM-SENDING YOU OUT AS SHEEP in (the) midst (of) wolves" (Matthew 10:16).

Yet in John 17, Judas the Iscariot was said to have PERISHED later, as Jesus said: "I have-been-keeping them in Your name which You-have-given (to) Me. And I-guarded (them), and none of them PERISHED [apollumi 622 in Greek] — EXCEPT THE SON (OF) DESTRUCTION, in-order-that the Scripture might-be-fulfilled" (John 17:12).

Simon: Acts 8:

Simon in Acts 8 believed, as it is written: "when THEY-BELIEVED Philip announcing-the-good-news about the kingdom (of) God and the name (of) Jesus Christ, they-were-being-baptized — both men and women. Now SIMON HIMSELF ALSO BELIEVED. And having-been-baptized, he-was attaching-himself (to) Philip" (Acts 8:12-13).

Yet later, after sinning, Simon was warned of destruction, as it is written: "Peter said to him, “May your silver be WITH YOU FOR DESTRUCTION [apoleia 684 in Greek]" (Acts 8:20).

The same Greek word for "DESTRUCTION [apо́leia 684 in Greek]" can be used in the context of someone PERISHING, as it was for example written that Judas the Iscariot "PERISHED [apollumi 622 in Greek]" (John 17:12), being "the son (of) DESTRUCTION [apо́leia 684 in Greek]" (John 17:12).

A brother for whom Christ died: 1 Corinthians 8:

Paul wrote: "if someone sees you, the (one) having knowledge, reclining (to eat) in (an) IDOL-TEMPLE, will not his conscience, being weak, be-built-up so-as to-eat the foods-sacrificed-to-idols? For (one) being-weak IS-PERISHING [apollumi 622 in Greek] by your knowledge, THE BROTHER FOR WHOM CHRIST DIED! And in-this-manner sinning against the brothers and striking their conscience (while) being-weak, you-are-sinning against Christ" (1 Corinthians 8:10-12).

Here in 1 Corinthians 8, a "BROTHER FOR WHOM CHRIST DIED" (1 Corinthians 8:11), which may have had "BELIEVED" in the past, can end up "PERISHING [apollumi 622 in Greek]" (1 Corinthians 8:11) if his conscience being weak ends up being "built-up so-as to-eat the foods-sacrificed-to-idols" (1 Corinthians 8:10).

Israelites saved out of Egypt: Hebrews 11 & 1 Corinthians 10:

It is written in Hebrews 11 about the "FAITH" (Hebrews 11:1) of many individuals, including "Abraham" (Hebrews 11:8) and "Moses" (Hebrews 11:23).

One example given is the people whom Moses saved out of the slavery of Egypt, and how "(By) FAITH THEY-CROSSED THE RED SEA as through dry land — (of) which having-taken (the) test, the Egyptians were-swallowed-up" (Hebrews 11:29).

Yet Paul in 1 Corinthians 10 wrote that many of them later PERISHED, as after they were "all were-baptized into Moses" (1 Corinthians 10:2), "God was not well-pleased with the majority (of) them, for they-were-strewn in the wilderness" (1 Corinthians 10:5), indicating: "let us not be-putting-to-the-test Christ, as some (of) them tested, and PERISHED [apollumi 622 in Greek] by the serpents. And do not be-grumbling, like some (of) them grumbled, and PERISHED [apollumi 622 in Greek] by the destroyer" (1 Corinthians 10:9-10).

How can someone who had faith in the past end up perishing?

How can someone who had FAITH IN THE PAST end up PERISHING?

FAITH (or "BELIEVING") can be a condition to not PERISH.

But FAITH does not necessarily continue automatically after someone had it IN THE PAST, and so it is possible for this condition to not PERISH to not be present in someone at some point.
