The arm of the Lord is not too short to save

The arm of the Lord is not too short to save

Summary:

It is written in the Bible that "the arm of the Lord IS NOT TOO SHORT TO SAVE" (Isaiah 59:1).

The disciples of Jesus said to Him: "WHO THEN CAN BE-SAVED?” And having-looked-at (them), JESUS SAID (to) them, “With humans, this is impossible. But WITH GOD, ALL (THINGS ARE) POSSIBLE”." (Matthew 19:25-26).

You can find more details below:

Those far away from God can be made near:

It is written: "now in Christ Jesus you, the (ones) FORMELY being FAR-AWAY, were MADE-NEAR by the blood (of) Christ" (Ephesians 2:13).

Someone who was a blasphemer can be shown mercy:

Paul wrote: "(I) FORMELY being (a) BLASPHEMOUS (one) and (a) persecutor and violent (one)! BUT I-WAS-SHOWN-MERCY" (1 Timothy 1:13).

Someone who is sexually immoral or an idolator can stop being that and be declared righteous by God:

Paul wrote about people being "SEXUALLY IMMORAL (ONES)" (1 Corinthians 6:10) or "IDOLATERS" (1 Corinthians 6:10) among other things, and wrote that "some (of YOUWERE THESE (THINGS). But you-washed(-them)-away, but you-were sanctified, BUT YOU-WERE-DECLARED-RIGHTEOUS in the name (of) the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit (of) our God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

Someone who is a slave to various desires and pleasures can stop being that and be saved by God:

Paul wrote: "we also WERE ONCE foolish, unpersuaded, being-deceived, BEING-SLAVES (TO) VARIOUS DESIRES AND PLEASURES [...]. BUT when the kindness and love-for-mankind (of) our Savior GOD appeared, HE-SAVED US" (Titus 3:3-5).

Someone who murdered someone else in the past can be forgiven by God:

It is written that David murdered (by proxy) a man named Uriah: "YOU STRUCK URIAH the Hittite WITH THE SWORD" (2 Samuel 12:9).

When confronted, David confessed and said: "I HAVE SINNED against the Lord. And Nathan said to David: THE LORD also HAS PUT AWAY YOUR SIN" (2 Samuel 12:13).

David himself wrote about this: "I CONFESSED MY SIN TO YOU, and I have not hidden my iniquity; I said, I will confess over my transgression to THE LORD; and You FORGAVE THE INIQUITY OF MY SIN" (Psalms 32:5).

Someone who denied Jesus can be restored:

It is written that: "PETER DENIED (JESUS)" (John 18:27).

And yet Peter then turned back and was restored, as Jesus also had said to Peter before it happened: "when YOU-(HAVE)-TURNED-BACK, establish your brothers" (Luke 22:32). And so Jesus, after it happened, said to Peter: "do you love Me? [...] Feed My sheep" (John 21:15–17).

Jesus here extended grace toward Peter and restored Him.

Someone who is disapproved [or: reprobate] can stop being that and be declared righeous by God:

Paul wrote: "God handed them over to a DISAPPROVED [or: reprobate] MIND, to-do the (things) not being-proper, having-been-filled (with) all UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, evilness, GREED" (Romans 1:28-29).

Paul wrote elsewhere of: "UNRIGHTEOUS (ones)" (1 Corinthians 6:9) such as "GREEDY (ones)" (1 Corinthians 6:10) and wrote that "some (of YOUWERE THESE (THINGS). But you-washed(-them)-away, but you-were sanctified, BUT YOU-WERE-DECLARED-RIGHTEOUS in the name (of) the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit (of) our God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

Apostates [or: Backslidders] can return to God and be healed from their apostasies [or: backslidings]:

It is written in Jeremiah that the Lord says: "Return, O APOSTATE sons; I WILL HEAL YOUR APOSTASIES" (Jeremiah 3:22), or in another translation: "Return, O BACKSLIDING sons; I WILL HEAL YOUR BACKSLIDINGS" (Jeremiah 3:22).

It is written that Hosea says: "return to YHWH your God" (Hosea 14:1) and that the Lord then says: "I WILL HEAL THEIR APOSTASIES" (Hosea 14:4), or in another translation: "I WILL HEAL THEIR BACKSLIDINGS" (Hosea 14:4).

Someone with a hardened heart can be restored from that condition:

Paul wrote about people walking in a certain way "because-of THE HARDNESS (OF) THEIR HEARTS" (Ephesians 4:18).

Paul wrote 1 verse earlier to simply not walk as these people are walking: "this I-say and testify in (the) Lord, (that) you BE-WALKING NO-LONGER as indeed the Gentiles are-walking" (Ephesians 4:17).

It is written in Ezekiel 18: "MAKE YOURSELVES A NEW HEART" (Ezekiel 18:31).

The state of the heart of someone is not fixed. It can change. Someone can be restored from having a hardened heart.

Someone not feeling pained by sin anymore can be healed from that condition:

Paul wrote about people not feeling pained by sin anymore, writing about "HAVING-BECOME-PAST-FEELING-PAIN" (Ephesians 4:19).

The Greek word "TO-BE-PAST-FEELING-PAIN" (apalgeó 524 in Greek, verb) comes from "from" (apo 575 in Greek, preposition) which can denote a privation, and "to-feel-pain" (algeo, no strong in Greek). This is the word from which the English "analgesic" is derived, which is that which takes away pain. This would refer to the spiritual condition of people not feeling pained by sin anymore.

Paul wrote 2 verses earlier to simply not walk as these people are walking: "this I-say and testify in (the) Lord, (that) you BE-WALKING NO-LONGER as indeed the Gentiles are-walking" (Ephesians 4:17).

To not feel pained by sin is not a fixed condition. It can change by no longer walking like the Gentiles do.

Someone having a conscience that is seared or defiled can have their conscience restored:

The state of the conscience of someone is not fixed. It can change.

Seared conscience:

Paul wrote for example about people "HAVING-BEEN-SEARED (as to their) own CONSCIENCE" (1 Timothy 4:2) and this "by-means-of (the) hypocrisy (of) LIARS" (1 Timothy 4:2). Their own conscience does not help them determining things that are right or wrong, and this, because of LIARS, showing that the actual issues here are LIES

Someone's conscience can be restored by the knowledge of the TRUTH, so as to allow the conscience to function properly again to determine right from wrong on a matter.

This principle may be illustrated in the following example, where Paul wrote: "concerning the eating (of) the foods-sacrificed-to-idols, WE-KNOW THAT (AN) IDOL (IS) NOTHING in (the) world, and that (there is) no God except one" (1 Corinthians 8:4) yet Paul then adds: "BUT (THIS) KNOWLEDGE (IS) NOT IN ALL (PEOPLE)" (1 Corinthians 8:7). As a consequence of not having this knowledge, these people have a "WEAK CONSCIENCE" (1 Corinthians 8:7). That is, their conscience will not help them in this manner because they do not have KNOWLEDGE on this manner. To remedy to that, and for them to have a stronger conscience, they may need to receive the knowledge of this TRUTH

This is why Paul wrote about the people "HAVING-BEEN-SEARED (as to their) own CONSCIENCE" (1 Timothy 4:2) "by-means-of (the) hypocrisy (of) LIARS" (1 Timothy 4:2) that these people are "(commanding) to-abstain (from) foods which God created for (a) receiving with thanksgiving (by) the (ones who are) believers and KNOW THE TRUTH" (1 Timothy 4:3).

The solution for them to heal their conscience and have "A GOOD CONSCIENCE" (1 Timothy 1:5) is for them to "KNOW THE TRUTH" (1 Timothy 4:3).

Defiled conscience:

Simmilarly, someone who is defiled can have a defiled conscience (because of the dead works they are doing), and yet they can end up cleansing their own conscience from dead works:

It is written that "All (things are) clean (to) the clean. But (to) THE (ONES) HAVING-BEEN-DEFILED [...] their mind and CONSCIENCE HAVE-BEEN-DEFILED" (Titus 1:15), "They-are-confessing to-know God, but (BY THEIR) WORKS they-are-denying (Him)" (Titus 1:16).

But it is written in Hebrews that it is possible to have been among "THE (ONES) HAVING-BEEN-DEFILED" (Hebrews 9:13) and yet to be able to "CLEANSE OUR CONSCIENCE FROM DEAD WORKS" (Hebrews 9:14).

Someone close to their hour of passing away can still be saved by God:

When Jesus being crucified, "one (of) the CRIMINALS" (Luke 23:39) who was crucified alongside Him turned to Jesus (not long before passing away): "And he-was-saying to Jesus, “REMEMBER ME when You-come into Your kingdom”. And He [Jesus] said (to) him, “Truly I-say (to) you, today YOU-WILL-BE WITH ME IN PARADISE”." (Luke 23:42-43).

As long as someone is alive there can be hope: "FOR ANYONE WHO IS AMONG THE LIVING, THERE IS HOPE. For a living dog is better than a lion that died" (Ecclesiastes 9:4)
