There can be conditions to be set free from being a slave of sin

Summary:

To be set free from the captivity of a sin, the goal is to be "under grace" (Romans 6:14), because sin cannot lord over someone if that one is under grace. To be under grace, one has to receive grace. But to receive grace is CONDITIONAL. For example:

1) It is written: "we-have the access (BY) FAITH into this grace in which we-stand" (Romans 5:2). One has to examine within their own heart: Does one believe that they NEED to do this sin otherwise... [x]? If anything came within the heart as an answer after the "otherwise", that answer needs to be confessed to God and renounced. Nothing ever justifies sin.

2) It is written: "God [...] gives grace (to the) HUMBLE" (James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:5). It is written "Be-thinking this in you, which also (was) in Christ Jesus" (Phillipians 2:5), how Jesus "HUMBLED HIMSELF HIMSELF, having-become OBEDIENT TO-THE-POINT (OF) DEATH" (Phillipians 2:8). One has to examine within their own heart: would one truly within their heart rather die now than commit this sin again? Is there a little part of doubt when answering this question?

Meeting those conditions can allow the grace of God to be received in order to be set free from the slavery of sin.

You can find more details below:

The need to receive grace to overcome the slavery of sin:

If sin LORDS OVER someone, such that someone is found to be a SLAVE of sin, the key to be set free from this is to be under grace, as it is written: "sin shall NOT lord-over you, for you-are [...] UNDER GRACE" (Romans 6:14).

In order to be UNDER GRACE, which allows the person to have the power to not be a slave of sin anymore, one must RECEIVE the grace of God.

RECEIVING the grace of God is CONDITIONAL

Conditions to receive the grace needed:

1) Faith in the truth:

A condition to receive grace to overcome sin is to have FAITH IN THE TRUTH concerning that sin. Paul wrote: "we-have the access (BY) FAITH into this grace in which we-stand" (Romans 5:2).

It is written that "IT-IS-BELIEVED (with the) HEART" (Romans 10:10). One has to examine within their own HEART: does one believe anything concerning this sin that prevents them in their heart from wanting to give it up? Does one believe that they NEED to do this sin otherwise... [x]?

If anything came within the heart as an answer after the "otherwise", that answer needs to be confessed to God and renounced (as nothing is ever a justified reason to sin). Doing so can lead someone to finally have access to grace to be set free from the slavery of sin.

2) Being humble... to the point of death:

A condition to receive grace to overcome sin is TO BE HUMBLE, as it is written: "God opposes (the) proud, but gives grace (to the) HUMBLE" (James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:5).

The way someone may know that they are HUMBLE in a way fit to be given grace can be the following: "Be-thinking this in you, which also (was) in Christ Jesus" (Phillipians 2:5), how Jesus "HUMBLED HIMSELF, having-become OBEDIENT TO-THE-POINT (OF) DEATH, and (a) death (of a) cross" (Phillipians 2:8).

It is written that Jesus was "HUMBLE (in) HEART" (Matthew 11:29). One has to examine within their own HEART: is one willing to go to the point of death to give up the sin that enslaves them? Would one truly within their heart rather die now than commit this sin again? Is there a little part of doubt when answering this question? This is how one can know if they have humbled themselves in a way fit to finally have access to grace to be set free from the slavery of sin.
