Sins can be linked to "debts"
Sins can be linked to "debts"
Jesus may have suggested that sins could be linked to "debts".
Jesus said to pray to the Father to "forgive us our SINS" (Luke 11:4).
A similar passage in Matthew reads instead: "forgive us our DEBTS" (Matthew 6:12).
Here "SINS" (Luke 11:4) and "DEBTS" (Matthew 6:12) could be linked.
Someone who sinned against someone else can be described as being indebted toward that person
Jesus said: "FORGIVE us our SINS, FOR we also ARE-FORGIVING everyone BEING-INDEBTED (to) us" (Luke 11:4). Here people are "BEING-INDEBTED (to) us" (Luke 11:4) in the context of "SINS" (Luke 11:4) that they would have done toward us.
A debtor can be described as owing something to someone else (that the debtor can be expected to pay back)
Jesus said: "There-were two DEBTORS (to a) certain lender. The one WAS-OWING five-hundred denarii, and the-other, fifty. They not having (the means) TO-GIVE-BACK, he-forgave both" (Luke 7:41-42).
How is that possible? Sin can be charged to the account of someone (if there is a law)
Paul wrote: "SIN is not CHARGED-TO-THE-ACCOUNT [ellogeitai 1677 in Greek], (there) being no law" (Romans 5:13).
There is a law in the new covenant, as Paul wrote that he was "not being without(-the)-law (of) God, but within(-the)-law (of) Christ" (1 Corinthians 9:21) in the new covenant.

Something charged to the account of someone can be expected to be repaid
Something "CHARGED-TO-THE-ACCOUNT [ellogeitai 1677 in Greek]" (Romans 5:13) of someone can be expected to be repaid.
For example, Paul wrote: "if (as to) anything he-wronged you or OWES (you), CHARGE-TO-MY-ACCOUNT [elloga 1677 in Greek] this (thing) — I, Paul, wrote (this with) my (own) hand, I WILL-REPAY" (Philemon 1:18-19).
Sins may not necessarily have to be counted against the one who committed them
Someone can pray for a sin that people committed to not be set against them, as it is written: "Lord, DO NOT SET [stēsēs 2476 in Greek] THIS SIN (AGAINST) THEM" (Acts 7:60).
Paul wrote: "At my first defense no-one was-present (with) me, but they all deserted me. MAY-IT NOT BE-COUNTED [logistheiē 3049 in Greek] (AGAINST) THEM" (2 Timothy 4:16).

After we die, we will all have to give an account for ourselves to God
It is written: "it-is-destined (for) people to-die once and after this (comes the) judgment" (Hebrews 9:27.
Paul wrote: "we-will all stand-before the judgment-seat (of) God" (Romans 14:10), "So then, each (of) us will-give (an) ACCOUNT for himself (to) God" (Romans 14:12).
